PUNCH NEEDLE: THE NEW DIY TREND
Has this trend also arrived with you? Then you will find the suitable fabrics for this technique in our range. The needle used for this technique is a cross between an embroidery needle, punch needle and latch hook. Pricking the needle into the loosely woven fabric automatically results in even loops of the same height on the back side. When densely packed, these loops form a soft surface texture – perfect for pillows, carpets, seat covers, wall hangings or other new showpieces.
You can order our fabrics by the metre at info@zweigart.de, from our in-house sales or through online shop.

PUNCH NEEDLE FABRICS IN USE
For Punch Needle embroidery, you use a fine needle and crewel wool or embroidery thread on Klostern (Art. 3882 – a beginner’s favorite) or Tula (Art. 3991) to make patches, hoops, or decorate clothes and bags. For punch needle rug hooking you use a larger needle like the Oxford Punch Needle and DK Weight or rug yarn on Monk’s Cloth (Art. 3528) or Floba (Art. 1198) to punch wall art, bags, cushions, chairpads, footstool covers and rugs.
